| OVERVIEW | ||
| The
Development and Finishing Institute, Inc. (DFI) is New York City's premier etiquette and finishing school for girls and young women ages, 5 to 18 years old. Upon completion of the 10 week or 20 week program, students will receive a certificate of completion and participate in a formal, cotillion-inspired graduation. |

| MISSION STATEMENT | ||

Development and Finishing Institute, Inc. is a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation serving today's girls and young women. Our mission is: . To teach social and professional skills . To improve their lives and employment opportunities . To promote financial independence . To develop leaders The model for the D.F.I. is "Vision, Purpose, and Destiny". Each student will be encouraged to develop a personal vision for the future and realize the potential for shaping her destiny.The Saturday program is held from 11am to 3pm. All classes are held at Columbia University, Zankel Hall, 120th Street between Broadway and Amsterdam Avenues.Students must complete the required courses for graduation. Graduation is held in June. |

order to make our program available to as many young people as possible at no cost, DFI announces its "Sponsor A Student" Drive. Your contribution of $50.00 or more will help cover expenses for a student to participate in DFI's curriculum. You can make a contribution of any amount by check, money order, or Pay Pal to support our efforts.
