Rose

Inc. (DFI), announced today that the institute will
begin
accepting students for its Spring and Summer 2007 classes
during three registration sessions to be held at the Harlem
Dance
Foundation, located at 144 West 121st Street (between Malcolm
X and Adam Clayton Powell Boulevards) in New York, NY.
Registration for the spring sessions will be held on Saturday,
March 24, 2007 from 1:30 pm to 3:30pm (with classes beginning
on
March 31, 2007) and on Saturday, April 14,2007 from 3:00 pm
to 4:30 pm (with classes beginning on April 28, 2007). Registration
for
the summer session will be held on Saturday May

DFI classes are held on Saturdays, with each session lasting
four weeks. Class times are approximately ninety minutes in
length.
Since its inception in 2002, The New York Times has recognized
DFI for its innovative approach to teaching urban youth social
skills.
Its executive director, Rose
Murdock,
was recently featured in the December 2006 issue of O Magazine
("O's Guide To Really
Excellent Behavior") as on of several etiquette
experts. DFI uses an age appropriate curriculum on topics
ranging from manners to
fashion/grooming and encompassing diction and posture.
DFI also incorporates a hands-on, international dining experience
(The Fine
Art of Dining) into its curriculum with a class taught at Piatto
d'oro, an East Harlem restaurant. All students will receive
a certificate
upon completion of the course, along with a graduation ceremony.
DFI is supported by private donations, making it a tuition-free
institution. Application forms are available online at:
www.thedfinstitute.com (under "Application") or by
calling: (212)
828-4530.
DFI
founder and Executive
director, Rose
Murdock is
eagerly anticipating the institute's upcoming classes
and says, "while our young
people are the most tech-sawy in the world and can multi-task
on a greater level than most adults, they lack the knowledge
of social
skills such as: manners, proper diction and table etiquette."
